Today Show Reports Pet Car Safety Restraints Often Fail Crash Tests

Pet car safety

A recent story on the Today Show has been getting a lot of attention lately. As more pet owners are purchasing restraint harnesses to keep their pets safe in the car in case of an accident, they may be surprised to learn that 25 of 29 restraint products tested by the Center for Pet Safety failed crash tests.

According to the organization, pet products are not regulated by the Consumer Products Safety Commission, so there is no government oversight of pet safety restraint products. Check out the full story HERE or click on the link below to watch the Today Show video for more information:

  2. Thanks for posting. I was just looking at car safety restraints for my dog last weekend and wasn’t sure what to buy so I didn’t buy anything. I hope something changes.
