When Kerry Irving was seriously injured in a car accident, he suffered not only from severe pain but also anxiety and depression.  A Springer Spaniel named Max provided Kerry with much needed comfort.

Kerry began filming Max’s walks in England’s scenic Lake District and posting the videos online.  During the pandemic, these idyllic scenes of Max out in nature provided his followers with some much-needed online therapy.

One of Max’s fans is a young girl named Evelyn who has a seizure disorder.  Her mother says watching videos of Max has been helpful and calming for her.

Max and Kerry’s popularity has enabled them to raise over $350,000 for the animal welfare nonprofit The People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals.

You can learn more about Max on his website, Max Out in the Lake District.  Check out a heartwarming video of Max from the PBS Newshour by clicking HERE.
